Welcome to Primordial Hunters Yukon All-Breed Coursing Club. We aim to provide a safe chasing outlet while preserving their preying instincts!
Club Details
Hunting grounds, based off CABT
We created this club with the intention of providing a safe and fun place to enjoy the sport of lure coursing. What is Lure Coursing? In this event, dogs chase a mechanized, white plastic lure around a 600+ yard course that simulates the unpredictability of chasing live prey. Zig-zagging across a big, open field is simply heaven for these dogs! At the same time, it helps improve their focus, agility, and sportsmanship. We will be simulating this with our Fun Runs!
Once events are scheduled they will be categorized. Non-Timed Runs, Timed Runs, and Puppy Training Runs*
Depending on entries we may have ribbons, swag bags, and equipment available.
Fast Dash, based off fast cats
Fast CAT® – which stands for Coursing Ability Test – is a timed 100-yard dash where dogs run one at a time, chasing a lure. Most times we'll fence these lanes, and catch pens.
The goal of our cub is to have safe run for all breeds, therefore we will have inspections before runs, etc.
we are not affiliated with any parent club, akc, ukc,etc
Puppy Runs are for young dogs or those who prefer a fluffy lure. It is run at a slower and/or shorter length.
